What I’m doing Now

I’m living in Groningen, the Netherlands. I am doing a MD/PhD-track, combining my medical studies with a PhD track.

Just finished my second year of internships in the Medisch Centrum Leeuwarden.

Working on a new project to study the relationship between sleep/wake problems and mood switches in bipolar disorder in a long term actigraphy study. I recently received a grant for this. The inclusion part has started and currently 10 subjects are enrolled in the study.

Furthermore I am studying chronotype across mood disorders in a dataset called NESDA.

By the way, if you are interested in what I’m working on, a case report of mine was just published. Check it out here, I’ll write a post about it soon.

  • Updating the website to showcase my research work more.
  • Creating a /books page to showcase the books I’ve read, including my notes. This to make me more obliged to read more and think about it better.

On a personal level, my girlfriend and I just got a cat! A cute ragdoll x british longhair combination named Princess Leia. Check out how cute she is on Instagram!

Furthermore I’m kind of into running right now. Latest run was a 9.1 km in 45 minutes.

The idea for this page is stolen from Derek Sivers.
